1. About this policy

This policy explains how Apex Research handles personal information connected with the GHK-Cu Tallow Balm storefront at apex-research.click, our restock-notification (waitlist) form, and orders once direct online ordering is enabled. It applies to visitors, waitlist subscribers and customers.

2. Information we collect

Restock notifications: the email address you submit through the waitlist form, together with the date and the page you signed up from.

Orders, once ordering is enabled: the contact, order, billing and delivery information needed to accept, fulfil, support or refund an order. An independent card processor will handle card details directly and give us only a transaction reference and status, not the full card number.

Ordinary technical logs: IP address, request time, requested page, referring page, browser, device and operating-system information, and security or error events generated by ordinary use of the site.

First-party page and click counts: our own server keeps a running total of page views and button clicks per page. These counts do not include your IP address, name or any other identifying detail.

3. Browser storage and tracking

The site uses browser local storage and session storage for essential operation, such as remembering the contents of your cart, remembering that a prompt has already been shown, and preventing an accidental duplicate signup. Local storage generally remains until you clear it; session storage generally remains until you close the tab.

This site runs the Meta advertising pixel, but only on our marketing landing pages, never on the shop, product or informational pages. Where it runs, it fires two events: a page view when the landing page loads, and a single lead event if you click through to the shop. It never receives a product name, price, quantity, cart contents or order information, because those pages do not load it at all. We use no other analytics service, no session recording and no other behavioural advertising tracker. Most content blockers and browser tracking-protection settings will stop the pixel.

4. Why we use information

We use information to record and respond to restock interest; and, once ordering is enabled, to assess, accept, fulfil, deliver and support orders, reconcile payment and process refunds. We also use it to send service messages; maintain, secure and troubleshoot the site; prevent fraud and duplicate signups; keep business, tax and transaction records; manage disputes; and comply with law and lawful requests.

5. Service providers and disclosures

We disclose only the information reasonably needed for the relevant function to our hosting, infrastructure, email-delivery and site-security providers; and, once ordering is enabled, to payment providers, carriers and customs or delivery partners needed to process, fulfil and track an order. We may also disclose information to professional advisers where needed, and to authorities where required or authorised by law. We do not sell personal information.

6. Overseas cloud processing

This site runs on Replit's hosting infrastructure, which may process or store information outside Australia, and any email, payment or carrier provider we use in future may do the same. We take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances to use providers that protect information, while recognising that overseas laws and protections may differ from Australia's.

7. Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, customer support, security, dispute management, backups, and applicable bookkeeping or tax obligations. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete, destroy or de-identify it, subject to lawful retention requirements and routine backup cycles.

8. Access, correction, deletion and complaints

To request access to, correction of or deletion of your information, to withdraw a waitlist signup, or to make a privacy complaint, email support@apex-research.click. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where law permits or requires. We will consider complaints and respond within a reasonable period. Australian visitors can also raise a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards suited to the information we hold and the service we run. No method of internet transmission or storage is completely secure. Contact us promptly if you believe information connected with this site has been compromised.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy to reflect operational or legal changes; the date above identifies the current version. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to support@apex-research.click.
